I am a second generation Arizona native. I grew up in Mesa, attending Mountain View High School. After high school, I enjoyed the privilege of working as a stay-at-home-mom raising my five children. My interest in nursing began while watching a hospice nurse care for my mother through the end of her fight with terminal cancer. The love and care that was given to her by this special nurse made a huge impact on my desire to help others. After my youngest began grade school, I enrolled in classes at Mesa Community College and began the journey to where I am today.
My nursing career began in women’s health where I worked as a labor and delivery nurse at Chandler Regional Hospital. I considered it an honor to be involved in the celebration of life through the process of childbirth. I loved helping women and families bond with their infants by promoting breastfeeding, and teaching infant care. While working and raising my family, I continued my education with the eventual goal of working in family practice where I now enjoy the challenges and learning opportunities of helping people of all ages and genders. I joined Heavens Medical in 2014 and am thrilled to be a part of the team here.
In my free-time I love sewing, gardening, movies, building anything, and spending quality time with my husband, children, and grandchildren who are the light of my life.
